     what #error do you get ? if error text not helpful: contact the respective external #statusnet #admins so they look in their #logs for more

     In both cases I get "could not set up remote subscription" after clicking "confirm."

     you could send them a message from your #sn server: username@domain (normally the 1st created user is the #admin - look in user directory)
