    @sdanna If you're trying to do it in the console, I have nothing to offer. But, if you want to do this within X you could easily do it using a minimalist window manager and emacs combo. Solid black wallpaper. Thin green window frames. No window decorations. Green on black and modified mode line in emacs. #fvwm, for example, can center windows you specify automatically. ymmv
